On the night of October 11, a big patch was released for Deadlock.
With it, the developers have added a ranking mode to the game, which will be opened for the first time on October 15. To get access to it, you need to play at least 50 matches. Users with voice blocking, chat and other restrictions due to behavior will not be able to launch the mode.
Ranked matchmaking in Deadlock will be available at certain time intervals: from 13:00 to 16:00 and from 19:00 to 22:00 local time zone - it can be selected and changed once a week. The mode is built around ranks - medals. There are 11 in total, each with six levels. On Tuesdays, an algorithm will be launched that will calculate the change in the user's ranking based on the matches played. The rank will also be affected by the performance of enemies. The authors of Deadlock believe that this system is more efficient than updating the ranking after each game.
To get a rank, you need to play at least seven matches in a week. If a gamer has fewer sessions, his medal will be marked as undetermined. Ranks will be displayed during matches - users will also have access to previous medal history.
Deadlock is a new title from Valve. It has not been officially announced by the developers, but its Steam page is already available for all users. To find out why the shooter may turn out to be better than Dota 2, you can read the article by Robert Maillantz.
